Osage University Partners Appoints Gibb Witham as Venture Partner

Osage University Partners (OUP) today announced the appointment of Gibb Witham as Venture Partner, further strengthening OUP’s commitment to scaling the most transformational and disruptive deep technology-based innovations.

Gibb is President at Hack The Box (HTB), an OUP portfolio company that is a Forrester Leader in cyber readiness for the agentic era, continuously battle-testing the cyber workforce and AI agents for enterprise and government customers. He previously held an investment role at Paladin Capital Group, where he backed high-growth cybersecurity, AI, and enterprise infrastructure software startups. Over nearly fifteen years Gibb has built a deep network of experts, CISOs, and entrepreneurs that can help support OUP’s cybersecurity and AI investments.

“OUP is not only a leader in university-related innovation—their broader investments open new possibilities in the deep tech landscape,” added Gibb Witham. “I look forward to working alongside the entire OUP team to identify strong cybersecurity and AI startups that will define the standards for innovative products, novel business models, and significant value creation in the evolving global tech landscape.”

“The team at OUP and the entrepreneurs we engage with in the research ecosystem are going to see a step-function increase in the level of knowledge and experience we have at the table. In cybersecurity, in particular, Gibb has an uncanny skill to focus on the two or three things that matter to a decision to invest in a startup, to support its entrepreneurs, and to drive their early-and late-stage growth. He’s seen it all and we cannot be more excited to have Gibb on our team,” said Marc Singer, Managing Partner.
