Slated to open in spring 2027, the new Northglenn Express Library will be located at the intersection of 120th Avenue and Claude Court, in a high-density area near Interstate 25 with limited current library usage. The site offers proximity to public transit, housing, schools, coffee shops and other neighborhood services, making it well positioned to serve residents where they already live, work and gather.

“Northglenn residents have been advocating for a local library location for years, and we are excited to experience this new format and to learn how it will benefit the Northglenn community,” said Northglenn Mayor Meredith Leighty.

The 1,800-square-foot retail space will be redesigned to support quick, convenient access to library resources, reflecting Anythink’s continued focus on flexible, community-centered service models. The Northglenn location will be designed with safety and ease of use in mind. Customers will access the space using their library card, with open sightlines, security monitoring and regular staff support helping ensure a welcoming and secure environment.

“Expanding into Northglenn allows us to bring library service back into the city in a way that reflects how people use spaces today,” said Mark Fink, executive director of Anythink Libraries. “This location is designed to meet community members where they are and make it easier than ever to access the resources, materials and experiences that support lifelong learning.”

Northglenn has not had a dedicated library branch in 16 years. Despite that gap, more than 9,300 Northglenn residents currently hold Anythink library cards. The new Express Library is designed to better serve these existing users while also reaching individuals who may not currently access nearby branches.

Share your feedback on the new library’s most important services

As part of the development process, Anythink has launched a community survey and engagement effort from May 5 through May 17, inviting residents to share input that will help shape the space and services. The links can be found here (English) and here (Spanish).

The project represents a continued investment in expanding access to library services across Adams County, with a focus on reaching underserved areas and evolving how library experiences are delivered.
